I am lucky enough to work in an office where we have the most wonderful coffee machine. I am not joking when I tell you that it produces the nicest coffee I have ever tasted. It really is like the coffee of your dreams. However, earlier this week disaster struck. The coffee machine broke down and we were stuck in the office without being able to make a hot drink to quench our thirst. I was desperate for the
Coffee Machine Repair man to come in and fix it for us so got straight on to the
Coffee Machine Repair company to ask them to come and fix it. However, they said they were really up to their eyes in
Coffee Machine Repair at the moment and the earliest they could fix our machine would be the beginning of next week. Naturally all the office was absolutely horrified at this news and, truthfully, work began to slacken off due to this disaster! Luckily, eventually the repair company had a cancellation slot later the same day and the machine was fixed. The sighs of relief all round the office were audible and, somehow, a calm atmosphere was created again as everyone sipped their hot drinks quietly.

I`m not sure that I`d make the grain being a carer for an elderly person. I can just about look after myself on the best of days, let alone care for a person who was elderly and vulnerable. Carers have my utmost respect because they provide exceptional care levels in highly stressful environments. They often work with clients who are suffering from the effects of Alzheimers or dementia and can suffer verbal or physical attacks as a result. On a daily basis they might have to clean their client, their clothing or their bed linen. Complex meals might have to be prepared on a regular basis and medication could be required by the elderly patients at certain times of the day. Cares might have to provide their exceptional care whilst working in a remote location such as a village that doesn`t have many amenities. If the elderly person is reclusive the carer might find they have prolonged periods on their own. Therefore it`s easy to see why it takes a special type of person to provide exceptional care to elderly people who may be vulnerable and infirm. I for one couldn`t be sure if I had the qualities to do this type of essential work.
